Customized Udutu™ Servers
Clients who purchase and install the Udutu Course Authoring Software on an internal server should ensure that the server hardware and software adheres to the following recommendations:
Recommended hardware and software configuration:
- Hardware: Dual Core Intel Processor (2.00 GHz or greater), 4 GB RAM, Separate Hard Drive(s) dedicated to the course authoring software (RAIDed)
- Software: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft PowerPoint 2003
- Protection of Information and Data: The implementation of an appropriate data backup plan is recommended to protect completed course content. We recommend a UPS that provides sufficient autonomy to allow the server to perform an orderly shutdown in case of loss of main supply power.
Software Installation Services
For client-hosted systems, the Udutu Course Authoring Software will be installed onto the client’s server via a remote desktop connection (i.e. the client shall enable a remote desktop account on their server). The charge for this installation service is outlined in the attached price quotation. If this is not possible (due to client IT department constraints or other reasons), then Udutu can provide telephone technical support in accordance with standard hourly support fees.
Premium Support Agreement
An annual premium support agreement is required for all client-hosted installations. Premium support includes annual software upgrades, maintenance releases and Email and telephone technical support for the Udutu Online Course Authoring software.
Training Services
Free use of the myUdutu Course Authoring service Udutu periodically hosts online webinar workshops on the use of our Course Authoring Software. There is no charge for attending these online webinars. Clients who require more in-depth training can arrange for an on-site visit by one of our course development professionals. Our rates for this service are $1200 per day and $250 per student plus travel & accommodation expenses.
